Markus Petteri Laine is a self employed open knowledge activist working currently for the Open Knowledge Foundation Finland and The Ministry of Transport and Communications. His background is in journalism and entertainment management. Laine holds a Creative Industries degree from the University of Greenwich.

Laine opposes system dictation where-ever he has to suffer from it. Yet, he acknowledges that systems are what our shared reality is made of and thus finds it paramount to shape them as open, inclusive and transparent as possible.

At the festival we are working on Global Open Decisions API standardization in order to help the proliferation of best democratic practices. Talk to me about anything that moves you heart.
