Nicholas Gruen, chair of OK Australia, will present a key report on the economic value of open data. Rufus Pollock, Open Knowledge President and Jeni Tennison, Open Data Institute will respond to the report's findings. The report was commissioned by Omidyar Network with the aim to influence the G20 held in Australia this year. The open data community had a big win last year internationally with the adoption of the G8 Open Data Charter. We are hoping that the G20 may itself adopt a G20 open data charter and help set standards for open data in the world's 20 largest economies. The session will be chaired by Martin Tisné, policy director at Omidyar Network and will include a facilitated group discussion.
Session hashtag: #G20OpenData
