The Open Access Button is a bookmarklet that lets users track when they are denied access to research, then search for alternative access to the article. The beta launched in November, received critical reception and has been endorsed and used by thousands. Since then, the team has been hard at work building Button 2.0. This will be more powerful, better and more useful than ever, and launching this year. We'll share our experience, demonstrate how the project is helping the global push towards more open scholarly publishing, and let everyone get involved.
